This weeks Model Monday focuses on model Marcus and his inspiring fund-raising journey with charity ‘Raleigh International’….
“In 2004, I had the most amazing adventure of my life working with youth and sustainable development charity Raleigh International in Malaysian Borneo, but it almost didn’t happen” says Marcus. “11 years ago the idea of taking ’time off’ to travel, learn and grow was unusual for somebody like me, from a working class background”.
“(This project is) named after an amazing man who I met whilst working in the tiny village of Kampung Pahu, Sabah in Malaysian Borneo. Pius Bayoh was a very kind and humble man and a great inspiration to me and many other volunteers on my expedition”.
They must be able to justify their need for additional help, but ultimately supporting these people through their tough challenge to raise hundreds of pounds means that they can make a valuable and sustainable change in marginalised communities overseas.
You can support Marcus’ in his challenge to raise £800 by donating on his Just Giving page here.
